THE ADVENTURES OF THE
ELEPHANT CLOUD
ILLUSTRATING A CHILDREN'S BOOK

ABOUT
The Adventures of the Elephant Cloud tells a
story of young Yaksha's friendship with an unusual elephant in his quest for home. Together they travel across India's mountains, rivers, and villages, narrowly escaping a war, and falling asleep in the unlikeliest of places.
This story is inspired by Kalidasa's 'Meghdootam', written around 2500 years ago.
Through the lens of this unique journey, this story is also a way for children to interact with India's diverse landscapes and histories.
